This is a collaboration with Aileen Barr. The dragon is the emblem of the school, so we used it to tie together the various tiled areas. The flames from the dragon’s mouth incorporated fragments of school curriculum, including letters, numbers and concepts. Quotes from notable authors are worked into the staircase. Tiles created by schoolchildren and their parents are included in the solar system at the top of the stairs.
